Visitor permits are available to residents, businesses, contractors and sub contractors who are based or carrying out work within a controlled parking zone. Residents of car free housing developments are also entitled to visitor permits if their development is within a controlled parking zone.

There is a limit of 10 purchased books of visitor permits per address per 12 month period.

Visitor permits are single vehicle specific and not transferable between vehicles and must be validated.

Refunds are not available on visitor permit purchases.

What evidence do I need to provide

You will need to prove that you either live or work within a controlled parking zone. Business visitor permits must be applied for by a senior manager within the organisation. They must provide proof of business name, company registration number and address. Proof of residency (for residents)

You must provide two documents (dated within the last three months) with your current name and address, for example:

Mobile phone bills will not be accepted

Proof of business address

Compliment slip or letter headed letter providing a contact name at the organisation

How to apply and pay for Visitor parking permits


You can apply and pay for visitor permits online by following two steps:

If your application has been approved, your virtual permits will be issued and you will be notified by email. Please allow 2 working days to be contacted by ANPR Parking Control Office.

By post

Postal applications require payment to be supplied with application form in order to be processed efficiently. Payment should be made by cheque or postal order that is made payable to 'ANPR PARKING CONTROL'. Please do not send cash through the post.

Please allow 10 days for your permit to be issued if you apply by post.

Please note: failure to include payment with your application will add significant delays to the process of issuing your permits.
