RESIDENTS PARKING PERMITS

Annual resident parking permits are now virtual and paper permits are no longer being issued. Virtual permits holders do not need to display a paper permit in their vehicle as civil enforcement officers will be able to identify which vehicles have a valid permit from the vehicle registration number.

How much do residents parking permits cost?

First permit for use of each household £25.00

Second permit per household £90

Third and subsequent permits per household £150

* Please note that all permit changes are subject to a service fee of £5 excluding refunds which are subject to a service fee of £10.

What evidence do I need to produce?

Applicants must be able to prove that they are full time residents and that they are the owner/main keeper of the vehicle associated with the permit.

If you apply for a new resident parking permit using the online self service system, you may be asked to supply proof of residence and vehicle ownership, depending on the results of your Identification check. If you are not required to upload documents in your online application you may be asked to supply proof at a later stage.

Please note: failure to supply evidence upon request may result in your permit being cancelled and your vehicle being subject to enforcement action.

To renew your current resident permit using the self service system you will need to supply your unique PIN number which can be found in your renewal reminder letter.

If you do not use the self service system proof of residency and vehicle ownership will be required with your application. You will also need to supply documents of proof if you would like to register a change of vehicle or report your vehicle stolen. If your vehicle has been or stolen you will need to supply your police crime reference number.

Please note that all permit changes are subject to a service fee of £5 excluding refunds which are subject to a service fee of £10.
